Stormie Slaton is an Alabama attorney whose practice focuses on helping individuals and families in Etowah County as well as the rest of northeast Alabama navigate legal matters involving family law and custody matters, estate planning, probate, guardianships and conservatorships, and related civil matters.
Before becoming an attorney, Stormie spent nearly a decade working as a paralegal, gaining extensive hands-on experience in the day-to-day practice of law. That background shaped her practical approach to representation and gave her an understanding of a case from every angle – from the initial client meeting and investigation through negotiation, litigation, and resolution.
Stormie earned her law degree from Birmingham School of Law and is admitted to the Alabama State Bar. She is also certified to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in Alabama.
Stormie particularly enjoys working directly with clients to take complicated or overwhelming legal issues and turn them into a clear plan of action. Whether helping a family through a difficult transition, protecting a client's interests in litigation, or assisting someone in planning for the future, she believes clients should understand not only what is happening in their case, but why.
A native of Gadsden, Alabama, Stormie has strong ties to North Alabama and represents clients throughout the surrounding communities. Her approach to practicing law is straightforward, practical, and client centered. She strives to provide candid advice, thoughtful advocacy, and solutions tailored to the circumstances of each client rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to representation.
